Shantel Taylor qualified as a New Zealand Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Health Science in 1999. She has nursed in both Auckland and London, and has over 15 years’ experience working in a medical Dermatology, Skin Cancer and Cosmetic clinic. In 2015 she specialised in Aesthetics and obtained a Certificate in Aesthetic Nursing, achieved with Excellence. Shantel has extensive training and hands-on experience in skin and appearance medicine, supported by a broad nursing background.

In January 2022, Shantel opened her own clinic in Mairangi Bay on Auckland’s North Shore. Bay Skin Studio is a boutique appearance medicine and cosmetic clinic that offers high quality, personalised service and natural-looking results. Shantel works alongside an experienced NZSCM Cosmetic Doctor and G.P and the clinic is audited to meet NZSCM standards. With its warm, friendly and discreet appeal, Bay Skin Studio offers the very best in appearance medicine and is fully equipped with all the required medical equipment to ensure client safety at all times.
After many years in the skin and cosmetic industry, Shantel has a deep understanding of the importance of personalised treatment to ensure natural-looking results. She is honest, calm and easy to talk to, and only suggests or performs treatments that are beneficial for each client’s particular need or concern.
Shantel is also highly experienced with needle-phobics and offers the same gentle care whether her clients seek help for aesthetic purposes, or for medical conditions such as headaches, teeth grinding and excessive sweating. Shantel uses Allergan Botox*, Allergan Juvéderm fillers*, Merz Belotero fillers*, Profhilo* and RegenPRP, and is an authorised stockist of Mesoestetic skincare, Synergie Skin skincare and Omnilux LED face masks.
